My name is Jess and I’m an artist and surface pattern designer inspired by nature, books, and the cozy things that bring me comfort in my day-to-day life. In my art you’ll find stacks of old books, flower pots, crescent moons, woodland animals, glowing lanterns, and—almost always—teapots!

Though I primarily work digitally, I love to use gouache, ink, and pencil brushes to bring the charm of traditional art—the textures, the color variations, the perfect little imperfections—to my work. It’s a joy to slow down and paint carefully as with a paintbrush, even when I’m working on an iPad.

When I’m not making art, you can find me with my Kindle in my one hand and a tea or coffee in the other, walking my dog, or trying to keep my garden cabbages alive. I love to cook and eat, and my daydreams are filled with visions of pillowy soft bread, steaming bowls of ramen, and little dancing clementines.
